I see him more as competition for Dallas, I don't think he's a defensive midfielder from what I've seen. If he does sign, I think it won't take him long to force his way into the first 11, he's a excellent player.

Looks like he has 4 years left on his contract, so a long time to run down. I guess there could be a plan, use him short term until our own youngsters are ready. My only worry is we get someone, Bielsa improves him, then he goes back to Chelsea.

He looked good last year in a struggling team and has some grit as well as skill in him.

If Firmo gets injured it looks like Dallas will move to LB which I know he can play there but Davis could have slotted in as a natural LB.
