I'm not one for playing young players for its own sake, but traditionally a time of injuries and poor form is exactly when you'd expect to see them given a go. Despite BM's nonsensical mutterings about the top 4, then the top 8 and now some vague garbage about the team being able to do something "special" at the end of the year, in terms of winning things the season ended a long time ago. In those circumstances Baldwinson is exactly the kind of player who should have been given a chance weeks ago, if for no other reason than to give a kick up the backside to the other props.

As for Hardaker, it will be interesting to see what happens. The Raiders have apparently ruled themselves out. That probably leaves just the Knights and the Titans. I'm not that sure the Titans will be falling over themselves as they're playing far better this year having got rid of most of their party boys - including Falloon. I'm sure the Knights would be interested as they have a dreadful squad, although their best back is also playing full back (Dane Gagai). But if they're the only interested party I can't see them forking out anything for Hardaker.

Panthers have expressed an interest apparently Soward & Segyaro are out of favour & Moylan is seen as long term HB or 5/8th

More I think about it, more he can do one for me.

Can we send him to Hunslet on loan or summat, until he moves on.

Its a question of attitude as to whether Zak plays again for Leeds for me. Just because hes on the transfer list doesnt mean he shouldnt play.

Hopefully both parties get what they want quickly and while Zachery is out injured but if not he will still be a Leeds player and should be up for selection like the rest of the squad.

Last season we had 3 people announce they was retiring/leaving and all 3 played as the professionals they was. I know Zak isnt the professional they was but if the coaches decide his head is in the right place he should be selected.

Some people seem to suggesting because he is leaving he shouldnt be picked but there no guarantee this transfer will happen at this stage.

If he doesn't want to muck in to get us out of this hole i don't see the point playing him. He's hardly on fire so we're not missing out on much.

Send him to Hunslet.

Well we dont have dual reg with Hunslet and i doubt they have a spare 300k to buy him.

If he was selected and was to give his best why not pick him?? Make no sense to send him to Fev and weaken our team until transfer goes thru. Whether he would give his best is open to debate but weve no reason to doubt he wouldnt. While his form hasnt been great this year thats never been down to a lack of effort from what ive seen.

Defines the majority of our players.

He wants to go let him. His goals and agenda are different from everyone of his current team mates. I wouldn't select him.

He has been pretty poop so far this season. You would think if he was desperate to move to the NRL, and Leeds have slapped a big price on him, that now would be the time for him to show some of last season's form. I say play him.

So if the transfer doesnt happen what would you do??? Continue to honour his contract and leave him at Fev for 4 years?? Makes no sense. Would you release him ? Pay him his entitlement and not be able to replace due to salary cap implications.

There arent many NRL teams that he could go to so there is no guarantee it will go through tho I am sure Leeds will do everything to make it happen as quick as possible but if no team wants him what can we do.

Zak while being an idiot at times has never not given his best for Leeds and therfore while that continues he should be our full back while at the club. If his head isnt in the right place then fair enough.

Leeds keep talking about how 'together' they are still, despite the current awful performances and string of poor results. That is the biggest hope Leeds have of turning that round. For me with Zak's decision he isn't going to help things in that regard, so should be quickly dealt with by both sides, which i think will happen, but also make sure we get the best possible price.

Zak's hardly been an angel and leeds have had to put up with a fair bit from him, so I think his decision spits in the face of that a little. His timing is awful too in the midst of our current position. why now? why not at the end of the season? is it beneath him to play away at Batley now?

People are entitled to their opinion, but I wouldn't be in a hurry to select him.

Re: HARDAKER TRANSFER LISTED : Wed Jun 08, 2016 9:28 am
You make some good points but you keep mentioning Zak's decision. This decision was as much Leeds' decision as Zak's.

By making the transfer public without a deal in place already Leeds could find themselves in a bit of an awkward situation if nothing goes thru.

Canberra said they wasnt interested yesterday, whether true or not, Penrith have been mentioned but they are releasing people to fit under cap so that doesnt add up. Titans? Knights? Who knows. Where else is there to go?

Now its out in the open and as Leeds have said "its in interests of both parties" they are now faced with a dilema if nothing happens.

There is no doubt he is best full back at the club and has never stopped trying no matter how bad his form has or hasnt been.

Leeds should have said nothing and got the deal done if possible without making it public knowledge because if nothing happens with NRL or anybody the whole world knows we dont want him and he doesnt want to be with us.

Until something happens if the coaches decide he will be ok mentally he should be our full back in my opinion.
