I hope CJ gets a good chance like Gannon,O'Connor and Smith etc.

If we can manage at Hooker reasonably well it's one less position that needs fixing immediately.
FB and possibly both HBs might need changing in 24 and if Newman Breaks down again etc we are straight back into the never-ending rebuild

People saying about Johnson's pace - have you seen the break to set Sinfield up. Looked to have pace then and left people for dead

Johnson has plenty of pace, not sure how anyone can watch his game over the years and come away thinking he lacks pace, especially for a 9.

I saw that, seemed an idd statement to say, he played centre in one game that does not connect with someone who lacks pace.
There us a CJ fanboy club on here, but frankly when I’ve seen him play I’m not seeing it looks no where near Super League std.
That said great opportunity now, he’s fully fit, we are likely missing Leeming for an extended run. Lets give him 5-6 game run off the bench and see if he performs/takes his chances and keeps his place. If he cannot get in the side and keep his place now, then its time to move him on.

I really hope Rohan gives him a run of games, so we can see what he can do.
I saw him a few times for York, but he was playing in the halves.
He did well, but of course it's a massive step up and a different skill set for a 9.
His passing and pace will not be an issue.
But his defence will be tested and we need to see if he can take a game by the scruff of the neck and drive us forward.

Did not mean to infer Johnson looks like he is pulling a fridge just that he has no top class toe.

He’s got good passing game, best of luck to him.

If he can come on with Ruan, we’ve got a lot of promising forwards, just need a few more young backs. Hope Edgell may come on and Tindall.

So if we assume a fair bit of cap is going to be released next year, which 2 positions or which 2 specific players do you sign for Leeds?

If CJ is as good as some think then he will make the match day 17 on merit not on opportunities due to others injuries. If he ain’t as good as others he won’t make it. I can’t understand all the fuss. He is not a teenager anymore, he’s been around a while so he either breaks into the team this year or he’s off.

Tom Burgess in to replace Tetevano.
A top quality NRL full back or hooker.
