Agree Arthur. If we want pure speed and athleticism there will be a few who could do a job, particularly at fullback. Less so halfbacks.

I hope so, but I've barely seen him play (and never in the flesh) so will reserve judgement. If he can be one of the top two or three fullbacks in the league, which should be the aim, then fair play to him. Re halfbacks I suspect they might be keeping an eye on Flanagan at Canterbury. If he doesn't crack it there he might have to look to SL and they might well contribute to wages.

Definitely fingers crossed with Hooley. Certainly so far all the signings look to have strengthened the squad if not first 17.

Sangare,Lisone and Holroyd back have really helped. Oledski still to come back too.

Our Spine has more than a few issues that need fixing/ replacing in good /managed way,rather than like the last 7 years where we keep them on past their best then scramble in the bargin bin.

Personally if we went for a half back i would be throwing money at Mikey Lewis, him and Sinfield would be a superb partnership for years to come.

Lewis would be a big call, but also a big statement of intent. Of the list of NRL halfbacks only Flanagan would ne interesting. Of the fullbacks Kennedy or Laurie look to be the best. I'd be surprised if Laurie left the NRL though.

But isn’t Lewis contracted until the end of 2025? One of the best young hb’s in super league, coming from a team who are looking upwards and trying to build something. It would need to be a ridiculous offer to get him, that assumes he would even want to come.

I think we firstly need to find out if sinfield is going to be what we think he could be. If we lock down a spine player with him then it makes looking at other spine positions a bit easier moving forward.
