Simply no match for a much more powerful pack.
I thought Myler looked pretty good. I have never thought that Moon is a half back but that performance was embarrassing, not for him but teammates who just refused to run for him and give him passing opportunities when he had the ball.

I personally thought it was an effort to be proud of. They're a far superior team, with some genuine superstars. In superleague, You simply don't get players of the calibre of Slater, Smith, Vunivalu, or the size and athleticism of Bromwich, Asofa-Solomona and Finucane.
The gulf is class is huge - the difference in salary cap says it all. Then throw in some missing players and in game injuries. The lads can hold their heads high.
As for Myler, I think criticism is very harsh - and I tell you something, his effort and defence cannot be questioned. I've been very impressed with his defence.

I know we had a lot go against us but some of the tries we conceded were really soft, in fact we really shouldnt have let in any of the first half tries

Myler has had a good start to the season and is a good player. He’s a very good signing. I’d have loved to have seen a McGuire / Myler half back combo.

If we’d been at full strength I honestly think we’d have pushed them close. Our pack was severely underside / under strength.
I think we’ll go very well this season.

Why didn’t Keinhorst sing the national Anthem ? I wouldn’t expect any of the Aussies to sing it, but for a lad that is born in Leeds and has spent 26 years of his life in his home city I find it a little disrespectful.

Maybe he neither believes in God or is a supporter of the monarchy. I'm not sure I'd sing the anthem either, I really don't see it as disrespectful as the words don't carry any meaning to many people.

Rubbish - it shows up the inability to do the basics competently - the number of unforced errors was numerous. This is the difference between NRL players and SL players - under real pressure they can pass and tackle it is no shock they scored 7 tries to 1.

It make you wonder what these guys do in training - the Hall miss from the drop out was laughable as was his attempt to blame the German - embarrassing.

He's gone up in my estimation for not singing it.

Absolutely agree. I dispise our national anthem, as an atheist and believer in equality, I find it highly offensive.
