I think sometimes people have become accustomed to seeing hookers as basically dummy half scooters, but there's alot more to it. Chicko was class in those finer (BIG) aspects, the timing of the passes, the direction and height they hit a player. Suddenly, as if by magic we looked alot better going forward and the pack in both defence and attack had much more control over the opposition. It beggers belief that we've neglected such a crucial position, for so long.
Hopefully in chicko we've found the answer.
I couldnt agree more apart from that weve neglected such a crucial position. I just dont think there are many top class 9s around at the moment so its difficult to find one.
Segeyaro's dummy half play on Fri was superb. All done simply and at a pace that allowed forwards room to make yards. Falloon used to take a couple of steps to draw the markers but was so slow the defensive line were on top of the forward taking the ball in.
Segeyaro was superb on Fri and fingers crossed he stays. All his talk of loving it at Leeds could be severly tested if an NRL team offers him a deal tho unfortunately. If he wants to play Origin he will need to be in the NRL.
