I don’t want to see Segeyaro in a Leeds shirt again, even on the radio

Are you denying these two would improve this team?

Segeyaro 100% would not.

Hardaker you can make a case for.
But only 6 months ago when we were talking about retaining him we didn't know where he would play.
He was second choice full back and filled in at centre. And we were still actively looking for a centre to partner Newman.
Hardly saviour credentials.
Over 30, past his best and a ticking time bomb.
Not for me.

It's not how much talent you've got, it's what you do with it that counts.

Hardly surprising that people are craving signings like Segeyaro, over the last 8 years our standards and expectations have fallen so far, there are times when I think I could get a game if I were a bit fitter…

Seriously, we have to start improving the quality of our signings, they need to be significant improvements on what we have, and complimentary to the youth we are bringing through. We had a perfect recipe with the goldens, we need to go back to it instead of signing average players from lower clubs or divisions.

Signings like Hooley were made as we had ridiculously bad squad depth - one or two injuries and we were forced to play 17 year olds
If even one of the project signings pans out its well worth it - McDonnell seems to be giving it a good go

Bang on Batley
There's no reason whatsoever why a club like the Rhinos and especially with it's elite academy system couldn't manage with only 3 or 4 top quality overseas signings and then fill the remaining squad places with our talented kids.
At least then we could aim for far better overseas players in our spine positions.

If we lose Sam Walters due to Sam Lisone taking his squad place and also his development game time,
Then IMO we are going down the wrong pathway required in order to be bringing the successful trophy winning seasons back to Headingley

I would personally drive Fusitua,Sezer,Tetevano (As a marquee signing) and Lisone back to the airport tomorrow

The jury's still out for me on Martin as he has unfairly been playing in the centre's rather than in his best position in the back row when has played very well.
Austin has been trying his best this season, but we need far better quality in all of our spine positions moving forward
Of our uk based spine players moving forward then I do like Cameron Smith,Jarrod O'Connor & Corey Johnson (When Corey played for the England academy side in 2018 v Australia he was IMO the best 9 in junior rugby worldwide, although his time away from the game has certainly put him well down the pecking order at the club,But he does deserve the chance as he is a fantastic game managing 9 and also with great distribution skills too)
