I agree re-morley he does offer so much to them but great teams adapt to their situations within matchs and thats 1 of the places i think wire are short at the moment.
Yep, but when you are also missing your second choice prop, and your main halfback who is also second choice captain, it is a bit different to just missing the odd player.
In terms of key personnel I thought so on the night but that's just my opinion.
As it turned out:
Long was replaced by Eastmond and wasn't really missed.
Cunningham was replaced by Roby and Lomax and wasn't really missed.
Gidley was replaced by Gilmour and Wheeler and wasn't really missed.
St Helens still look the side to beat this season.

But with Morley, Rahuiha(spelling again), Briers, Higham, and Hicks missing for Wire, IMO they were harder hit.
Agreed, Saints really impressed me on Friday. Kind of put my confidence on Leeds out just a little, but not fully.
Change is inevitable ...except from a vending machine!

Thing is though, with this new structure they might not have to do it twice in 2 weeks.
They are only 3 points from 4th and 4 points from 3rd. If they finish in those positions then the one off game you talked about comes into place. And if they succeed there then they get a week off and an home draw for the next game, which might even be an easier game.
Actually, if they finish in the top 4 with Leeds, Saints and AN Other, then they are very likley to play either Leeds & Saints twice before even the final, because the new play off system is a pile of Poo! If they finish outside of the top 4, then it is impossible for them to meet anyone more than once, even the team a bottom 4 side would play in the final would be the first time they had played them.

Agreed. Interesting stats that sky showed comparing the SL top Centres on Friday night. Keith, statistically speaking is the man!
