Although highly unlikely, we only have one sample season to go off.If there is only a couple of points between 4th and 8th at the break away this time which is possible if teams continue to take unexpected points off of each other and WBSLR like Widnes are still up there, then we could see it happen. And lets not forget nobody would really have believed winning it from outside the 4 of the old format was possible until we did it twice on the bounce! This comment could come back to haunt you in October :-)

Youll need about 40 points to make top 4, meaning you can afford to loose about 10 games.
If we look at it like that there is no reason to panic yet

Your job is to say to yourself on a job interview does the hiring manager likes me or not. If you aren't a particular manager's cup of tea, you haven't failed -- you've dodged a bullet.

I will take my chances on that one - the only way that could happen is if one of the big 4 finished 8th - only Leeds even remotely likely. Given everyone on here's confidence that a full strength side is match for anyone that is very unlikely. There is more chance of them missing the 8 than winning it from eighth IMO.

I agree, and in this SL which is a poor standard on the whole right now, Leeds don't have to improve a great deal to start picking up results from here especially as players return and the fixtures look a lot easier on paper.I would still be quite surprised if Leeds finished below 5th at the split.

Galloway & Ferres are costing us too many penalties. This needs addressing or drop them. When are we going to blood the young forwards? We appear to be the only team in the league not bring anyone through in that area.

Ward, Singleton, Baldwinson, Walters, keinhorst all lads who came through our academy system recently and in the 25 man squad. Mullalley is also still a young raw front row, you have to strike the balance between youth and experience but i don't see an issue with the young forwards getting blocked if they have the ability they will get through at Leeds imo.

Bit unfair and not really a problem. Galloway is averaging less than one penalty per game (total 4 in 5 games) which is one less than Moon and only one more than Sutcliffe and Hardaker. While Ferres has had 6 penalties in 5 games in fairness he has been on the field most of the time and is our top tackler and offloader and very close to our top for carries and metres made. So in other words is very heavily involved and it is to be expected he will fall foul of the ref more than those less involved.

Has Ferres actually been subbed off this year? I don't think he has. Combine that with playing in the back row and he's gonna concede a few. The only really bone headed one I can remember is him upending the marker when we had the ball, might have been the catalan game?

If I'd have had to guess, I'd have thought Galloway had conceded more, he just gives that impression that every tackle could be a penalty.

Your back rowers are always usually the ones who give your penalties away. Their's a reason why they're referred to as getting through the dirty work.

Once we get McGuire,Ablett, ward and Briscoe back we will improve a lot I think.
Add Falloon+ jjb getting match fitness, Moon and Delaney to come back too.

I like Mullally tho and if we give him some game time and patience he will hopefully go the same way Singleton has.
