Your job is to say to yourself on a job interview does the hiring manager likes me or not. If you aren't a particular manager's cup of tea, you haven't failed -- you've dodged a bullet.
No i'm happy to make the bet again now and I think having a recognised hooker, a la Segeyaro, was more than a fair condition last time. You even agreed until your weirdo mate tried to make a thing of it and divert attention away from his comical attempt at trolling.
So anyway, its £50 to Leeds Foundation then.
If Leeds are in the top 4 after 23 rounds you donate it. If Leeds are out of the top 4 after 23 rounds I donate it.
Is that right?
Correct let's hope you win otherwise its going to be a very tough watching season
McDermott is going. I actually think he is more relaxed because of it, and seems to have let the shackles go. He apparently asked to finish the season, and that is what they agreed.

At the end of the day, there's risk with signing any player. We've signed former NRL first grade regulars who haven't turned out great, some who've become legends of our club.
We've signed guys with little first grade experience who've turned out good (Leuluai, Garbutt), some who have been awful (Achurch, Vickery).
But I believe Parcell has slightly better pedigree than those two, and in terms of what I've seen and his skill set, he fits what we wanted. It also sounds like Mac did some homework talking to Chad Randall whose based at Manly, and Parcell did likewise talking to Ben Walker.
I'd say this signing is an informed gamble rather than an out and out guess.
Spot on how I see it. You only have to start reeling off names like Brett Mullins, Bradley Clyde etc. before you get quite a list of guys who came here (or other English clubs) who were successes in the NRL to know it doesn't equate to how they'll go here. Usually it's the guys who are seeing it as a real opportunity rather than a nicely paid holiday and Parcell certainly drops into the former. Much questioning and hinting as to why he's leaving Manly and the NRL as if he must come with some sort of issue to lower himself to SL. By the sounds of it it's just a guy who looked like he'd be 2nd choice at Manly behind the coaches preferred guy Koroisau and he wants to be starting games instead so jumped at the chance to come here. Manly have options at hooker and sound like they want to strengthen other areas.
Otherwise, one risks embarrassment of "Achurchian" proportions when relying upon internet forums and selective YouTube visitations.
You mean embarrassing calls like back in 2011 when you said that Leeds squad had nothing left in them, needed dismantling and someone needed to stick a fork in them as they were done?.....and they went on to get another 3 GF's, 2 CC's, 1 WCC & LLS
I'd suggest that signing an actual hooker, whilst making us look much more stable, doesn't address the issues we had even if Segeyaro had stayed - namely fullback and halfback. On paper at least we look weaker than every other top 4 contender in those positions, albeit with the possibility of a lot of upside in Golding/Sutcliffe/Lilley/Aston.

No, I think he means embarrassing calls like the one he made in 2014 where he predicted that Leeds only achievement in 2015 would be to win the Lazenby cup.

He was a bit like those who predicted Leeds would be playing Wigan, Warrington and Saints at the end of 2016 and not Batley, Leigh, Featherstone and London and that includes you
Once again we are gambling with the season, starting out with a player in the key position who is second choice option at the team who finished I think 3 rd bottom of the NFL. Sure the Keyboard warriors will correct me if I'm wrong. No disrespect to Matt hope he becomes a club legend I just think that at this time we need an established hooker one with mongrel like mclorum to work with Lilly and sutty in the absence of mags and rob and their imminent retirement. Also this is a gamble because Matt has a history of bad hamstring Cheap option
[watching Mackay testing the curry in the prison kitchens] Fletcher: Course, he sees 'imself as an authority on curry, he does, on account of where he was stationed in the army. Rudge: Where? India? Fletcher: No, Bradford.
