Watching the indigenous NRL all stars game this morning. Good to see some live rugby league and competitive game with some hard hitting and a few mistakes which you would expect in pre season.
On the evidence of the first half we definitely escaped a bad deal with fifita. He's a big unit but his workrate is low and struggling to keep with the pace of the game. He is definitely only going to be able to be an impact player and for the money he would have cost we would have expected more minutes
Whilst all players on the field looked a bit out of shape, Fifita is in the best shape of his life, he has been working with his brother at Wakefield and both are in the best shape of there life. Dave has lost around 3 stone, hopefully doesn't impact on his game too much but it at least shows they are serious about getting back to there best.
I very much doubt you was anywhere near Andrew Fifita, there is no way he would leave the NRL any time soon, if Cronulla wanted rid, every team in the NRL would have had him in a heartbeat regardless of his drop in form last year.
