If they can get the money right I would retain Konnie though. Probably not worth a marquee spot but definitely worth an overseas quota spot for me.

It will be an interesting recruitment drive. I dont think we will look for a stand off in the hope eastmond comes good, Lui will go though. In terms of the pack, depending on if Martin goes back to Aus, I think we have some decent youngsters in that position so I cant see too much movement, if Martin goes they might bring in an experienced backrower. Prop wise, again if prior goes then I would expect another prop, if not then they might pick up a bench prop. I think we need a winger without doubt, briscoe is past it. Centres I am happy with even if hurrell goes. Fullback I am happy as Jack Walker deserves anothher season.
However I would change the coach, that not based on results just opinion. I really like Agar but I dont think he is a head coach but should be in thee system somewhere.

If Martin were to go and Prior hang his boots up, I’d be replacing them with 2 first grade props.

We have Thompson, Donaldson, Mellor, Tetevano, Smith, Walters, O’Connor and Gannon at a stretch for the back row. Oledzski is being overworked IMO and I’d have 2 others in there to share the work with King possibly retained, we’ll see.

Call me old-fashioned but I like 4 good props in the game day squad to keep the pressure on the opposition throughout.

Agree the club is unlikely to move for a 6 having just signed Eastmond.

Wing / FB is a possibility, but again T Briscoe is part of the furniture at Leeds and not sure the club will move there.

Transfer window open now so anyone who hasn’t got a new deal can now speak to other clubs. According to unannounced deals, we have L Briscoe, Holroyd, Hurrell, Lui, Martin, Mclelland, Prior, A Sutcliffe and Vuniyayawa.

I’d hope that deals for Sutcliffe and Holroyd are agreed, with the rest fighting for their spots. When everyone is fit, I wouldn’t be surprised if Lui left mid season.

Of the players out of contract at the end of the season Prior is the only one we definately need to keep if we can. Tommy Holroyd needs to given a short term deal to see if he can stay fit. Alex Sutcliffe is possiblt worth a cheap deal for squad value.

Koni, Martin, King V and Lui would allow 4 new overseas signings to improve the team with and would free up plenty of cap space. Overseas recruitment has to improve dramatically at the club. One replacement needs to be a class 6, at lesst 1 a prop.

On current form I would let Hurrell, Martin and King all leave. I think Lui will leave regardless. I also think Prior will retire. No issues with that should it be the case.

Leaves us with quota spots and a marquee spot
