Walker had a SL clause in his contract. Yes, he could have gone to anyone in SL and KR were the first to show interest but of course Show me and Danny’s connection helped.

Salary Cap has slightly changed for next year maybe weve been waiting on that?

Now allowed 3 Marquee players as long as one is british.

Overseas players only count for £75000 on the cap British player £50k

Good change imo

It is good news. Genuine question from me - of our current batch of Academy produced players is there anyone of proven marquee quality? I find it hard to making a compelling case, mainly because most are still developing. I guess Oledzki is probably the stand out. Newman, if not for his injuries, would probably be right up there. If we were to look outside the club for a marquee federation trained player, who would you go for?

Newman would be closest IMO. You’ve got to use on someone, either £50k on academy trained or £100k on another British player.

Would we want to try and bring back Dupree or Watkins or go for a quality British player from another side, clever cap management has never been more important.

Can we improve our pretty poor work of recent years.

I’d go for Abdull but don’t think we will or think he would come

The problem here is that we're gonna have to upgrade the likes of Newman, Holroyd, O'Connor, otherwise Saints, Wire and Wigan will come knocking with more cash...

So f you’re wanting one of those three to be home grown marquee, it’s Holroyd every day of the week and twice on Sundays. He will be the best prop on the league in 2 years.

That goes without saying. Quite whether other SL sides are going to view them as marquee "federation" players is another. We need to get a view big decisions right this time around, as well as hoping for a good dose of luck.
