Wire have had a bid for Jake Trueman rejected. Other clubs are also in for him, we're probably one of them

Some of our signings have been the best kept secret in the public arena but the better ones have come out of left field and maybe only known on here at for about 24 hours before if at all. The back room staff do a great job most of the time in bringing in talent, like everyone they dont always get it right but as a club we do more right than wrong.
I have the feeling that whoever the club do attract to sign wont be on our radar until just before or when it does happen.

Wrt Trueman I would be very happy if that deal came off.
I can see Trueman going to Wire with Williams going to Wigan or possibly the other way round.
Does that mean Leeds see Eastmond as a full back as we could potentially have far too many halves for 2 spots.

I’m not convinced Eastmond has the pace for FB any more but I see him more as one of three decent half options including Gale and one other.

Can actually see us landing Trueman, he is the type of player we would pitch in for. Question will be whether he wants to come to Leeds.

I wouldn’t mind seeing Tindall given a run outside Hurrell, but we need our 6 sorting first. Honestly think that combo going forward could cause problems.

Hard to drop O’Connor after tonight.

O'Connor played well but i just dont think hes big enough for a back ower.He passes well so could make a very good nine.His dad said something similar in a recent iterview.

He’s played 7 as a lad apparently and has a good skill set and a good engine. I think he is a hooker.

Smith still has bits to work on but he would be my 13 unless he ends up shifting to prop.

Just seen a that Hudds are interested in Theo Fages? He's off contract this year at Saints at end of year they have a few big names off contract such as Coote, Naiqama & Roby wonder if Fages might slip under radar for them and they won't offer him anything, I'd happily have him at Leeds he seems too have been around for ever but is only 26 and has made a great partnership with Lomax over years I reckon he could be a great option for us too look at if we're after a 6?

No thanks. If we are after Bother half, ( I think would be fit 2022) I'd prefer someone bit better than that. Use marquee money. most important position...

Fages was offered a contract from Saints, Hudds offered *a lot* more. Am told it’s a done deal, and Saints will hand the 7 shirt to Dodd next year, which is a bold risk, and will either be brilliant or blow up in our faces (see the lomaskell era for more information). Especially with us also gambling with Coote (reportedly homesick due to COVID, he wants to stay his wife wants to go) and if he doesn’t stay, we will see Welsby at fullback as well.
