And a great opportunity for Sam Walters to show if he has what it takes.

| We urgently need to prioritise signing a metre munching prop for next season.
IMO it doesn't have to be a marquee signing either as there are plenty of talented props in the lower grades of the NRL
We have recently signed Marquee players from the NRL in Trent Merrin and Zane Tetevano and it would be hard to disagree that they both haven't lived up to their expectations during their time at the club.
Kylie Leuluai was one of our shrewdest ever signings from the NRL and who also went on to give us great service over his many seasons at the club despite not being a household name from the NRL when he was signed.
He only made around 80 NRL appearances between 1999 and 2006 before joining us.
Chris Satae at Hull FC is another example of the talent available in the lower grades of the NRL despite only playing less than 20 NRL games.
Hopefully Rohan Smith's inside knowledge of the lower grades of the NRL will prove beneficial in the club signing the right player(s)

| So far we know of Mellor, Broadbent, Dwyer leaving, likely that Briscoe, Thompson, Mustapha join that list with O’Connor, Austin, Hardaker, Johnson stay.

I agree with this and wouldn’t be surprised to see him utilise that knowledge.

Rather keep Mellor, Walters is one of those big lads in his age group, but too soft to play with the men. Never make a Super League player not good enough for us anyway.

Mellor has signed for Cas and good luck to him.
IMO he hasn't delivered on his undoubted potential shown prior to his arrival and he will not be a loss what so ever

Not many softies play Rugby League. I'm not sure whether he'll make it, but I'd like to see him get a chance. His body will take some growing in to, but I thought he went well in a beaten pack away at Salford. Mellor has had a chance and never really delivered. Good luck to him at Cas.

| When everyone is fit, Mellor won't make the squad. Even when we have some injuries in the BR, he still won't be starting, so no loss at all really.
I wonder with his size, whether Rohan sees Walters making a move into the FR Peacock style?

| Yeah agree with the above, Mellor not good enough for Leeds. No loss at all. We need to upgrade the front row as a priority. Then have a good look at centre, 1x wing and the halves for next year. Not much to do

We should have Sam Walters watching videos of Alex Walmsley and JP. He could be that kind of player with the right attitude, perhaps not quite as good but time will tell. He has the physical attributes.

| Vaguely remember being quite excited at the time when we signed Mellor. What a disaster he was.
