Bailey Hodgson and Ryan Sutton would be our typical type of signings. They’d do the job at the club if they are injury free or get back to full fitness. Both English so no quota spots being taken.
Bailey Hodgson would probably mean that Luke Hooley leaves given the positions. Ryan Sutton would be good to go with the rumoured Matt Lodge.
Looking from the outside, seems like Tetevano and Sezer are definites to leave and go home, with Lodge taking one of them overseas quota spaces. A half back would be another coming in to partner Austin for the time being and Sinfield coming in in next 18 months. Sutton comes in to replace Walters
Bentley to Hull FC makes sense with McDonnell emergence, Gannon to return, plus Goudemand coming in.
Outs (rumoured and confirmed): Sezer, Tetevano, Bentley, Tindall, Walters, Donaldson.
In - TBC HB, Lodge, Sutton, Hodgson, Goudemand.
That doesn’t look too bad to me.
Must admit - Lodge and Hodgson apart, I'd be expecting better than that given huge amount of cap space we have. Leeming, Tetevano, Sezer big wages going... and if Bentley goes on top of that...... goodness me. The HB better be good !

But for me nobody expected this huge emergence of McDonnell just yet and also getting Gannon back to full fitness will be huge for him. You’d expect lodge to be on huge money if true. Plus losses of Bentley, Sezer, Leeming, Tetevano, Bentley, Walters, Tindall, plus small minor losses of Field and Edwards too. There is a lot of cap space available. I would expect a big name half
Got to be one of the most depressing lists I've seen. Going for a huge signing doesn't always work out, but Jack Walker? Come on!! Surely we're gonna have heaps of cap space by the end of this year, even after upgrades to contracts. Getting rid of Leeming, Tetavano and probably Sezer should give us plenty to play with.
If we got a top end half and signed Charlie Staines, I'd be ok with that, but otherwise it's not much to get excited about.
We've reached the point where because (with the exception of Goudemand) we haven't signed anybody, random names are being chucked about. I reckon we'll know a bit more about whether Austin is staying by the end of the week, and I suspect an announcement on Fusitua isn't far away. Nailing a half back is the absolute top priority. I hope we get that done and announced first.

Yes..on the face of it I’d be surprised at Lodge….seems more like a Warrington type signing
I can't recall seeing him play, but his career does seem a bit checkered. I'd hoped we'd got out of the habit of throwing our marquee spots at props from the NRL. I suspect he'll be Wire bound as well.
Lodge is a good prop but has a history of being a bit of a liability off the pitch. Went on the rampage, creating quite a legal bill, in America, forced his way out of the Warriors despite signing a lucrative deal. I don’t think he fits the bill for what Smith wants in terms of culture.
In terms of Jack Walker, I wonder if it was a case of go away prove fitness and come back on a cheaper deal. He’s not really proved his fitness but I think I’d rather have him in the squad than Hooley? Hodgson would be a similar punt.
Sutton I’ve always liked, I’d be happy for him to replace Tet.
