Whatever you think of Ganson, Leeds did make a rod for their own back on numerous occasions. You cannot blame a referee for back-chat penalties and you cannot blame a referee for niggly ball ripping. Discipline has been a key issue all season but of course, Ganson is an easy target.
As for Ganson, I'm sure he likes to think that the reason he didn't get finals a few years ago was because he's a St Helens fan. I'd rather like to think that he is, purely and simply, not good enough to be trusted with big games.

Some people of course will praise his "no nonsense" approach but you can't take that approach if some of your decisions are just a complete nonsense.
