I wish everyone would read bramleyrhino's post two or three times just to get it through some thick skulls

Mr bramleyrhino speaks a lot of sense.

To bring the discussion back on track.

Whatever you think of Ganson, Leeds did make a rod for their own back on numerous occasions. You cannot blame a referee for back-chat penalties and you cannot blame a referee for niggly ball ripping. Discipline has been a key issue all season but of course, Ganson is an easy target.

As for Ganson, I'm sure he likes to think that the reason he didn't get finals a few years ago was because he's a St Helens fan. I'd rather like to think that he is, purely and simply, not good enough to be trusted with big games.

Whenever there is some form of refereeing controversy, Steve Ganson is invariably involved to the point where it is too common to just be coincidence. Some people of course will praise his "no nonsense" approach but you can't take that approach if some of your decisions are just a complete nonsense.

Ah, you west Yorkshire lot. So predictable in your responses, are you denying that all that happened last night was that Ganson picked you up on things most of the other refs are scared to?
When your captain and coach are bemoaning your discipline I find it hard to believe that you're not just having a go for the sake of it!

Bluey said that if we had lost, it would have been the fourth in a row with referee Ganson.

Sinfield said that they all watch other games and we dont seen to get the same decisions that other teams get. Last night proved it.

Both points, if I was Stuart Cummings I would be looking into on Monday morning and if proved wrong then I would haul Bluey and Sinfield in for a telling off. If it is proved that Bluey and Sinfield are correct in their statements then Ganson needs to be hauled in for his explanation

If that is the case, and as all Catalans home games have the video ref, why didnt he view the kick off restart when Lee Smith was clearly fouled?

Back to the original posting - a good one too.

Seniors penalty for the high shot was actually given by the touch judge.

It was hard for Webb to get up with Obsts arm around his back.

I agree with the Ablett being dumped into touch thing. Sinfield actually spoke to Ganson when we were penalised saying well they just did it. Incidently, did Ablet say "Taxi for Ganson!" to incue the penalty for back chat?

Ablett actually moved out of the way, to allow Brad Drew a clear run to bounce off Peacock. Again, why not use the technology?

Agreed with their try that was a knock on. It was even more cringeworthy when Phil Clarke tried to justify it by saying did it bounce off Ryan Halls Head!

In short, as I have said before, Stuart Cummings needs to look at this on Monday morning. Why did Ganson clearly say to a Wakey player "Do that again and I will penalise you!" He obviously didnt give Leeds the same chance. Had this been a Stains game, they would have all been in the refs face so credit to the boys here for not getting into the refs face and letting the captain do his job and ask the questions one to one. the final penalty count was about 12-5 but it was 11 - 1 when Webb was sin binned. We are not the worst team in Super League with regard to discipline all that is required is even handed refereeing.

and finally...... Stevo was slating Leeds and almost creaming his pants at the thought of us getting beaten. Not to worry Stevo, keep taking the tablets and keep dreaming of 1973!

You are wasting your time here mate, they only use examples that fit their so called neutral argument. Anything else that happens is clearly sour grapes from us 'Whinos'

Sorry about that - obviously a new rule change that I am oblivious to. The rule being If it would benefit Leeds dont go to the video referee - if it might cost Leeds the game have a look just for good measure. Although last night might have been seen as "Lets jst rub the Wakey noses in it again!"

I thought last night I was watching a World War Two documentary - There was this guy kept waving two fingers in the air. As we finished with twelve men perhaps we could quote "Never in the field of human conflict was so much owed by so many to so few!"
