no im not a hull fc fan. i'm from hull but the fact that dobbins fans can't seem to come up with anything other than "shoot the fc scum" song annoys me. especially when kr werent even playing fc that night.

and i was at carnegie last night cheering on the rhinos. get it now

he...is a she! get it right dobbin and the rousing rendition of "you **** and you know you are" wasnt on the pitch it was on a night out. so sorry to put you down but for once i'm NOT talking out of my backside!

They weren't there last night (well i didn't hear them) and the southstand was like a morgue.

Can't dissagree with that. Another reason why I laugh when I see oppossition fans stating the southstand wins penalties at Headingley. They are living in years gone by.

The Southstand is shocking these days for noise. Although I notice when I was younger, the people who used to start all the singing are now based elswhere in the ground. A few in the Carnegie seats.

The atmosphere is suffering with this reduced capacity. Or maybe the people who frequent there now, are just not capable of raising an atmosphere.

only bit of iffy trouble i saw all night was down the train station. a couple of KR fans scrapping within themselves over what I believe was a mcdonalds?!?!?! anyways that was sorted when one of them plunged down the steps just outside maccy d's

they werent harming anyone, i did try and settle the issue by pointing them in the direction of the new pasty stand, but they dont do fish pasties so it was a no go

I agree 100%. Since we started winning trophies, most of our fans are not interested in creating an atmosphere, just in being entertained and expecting to win every game. There's only a handful of lads who start chants anymore (I'm sure we all know who that is), at home or away games. The Saints game (as the Southstand will not turn up and expect us to win by 30 points) will create a good atmosphere, as the game in the cup did earlier in the year.
I'm no really criticising anyone, you pay your money to turn up, sing if you like, don't if you don't, but the Headingley atmosphere has degenerated badly since 2004 time.
