Cam Smith has a one year in the clubs favour so if that’s been exercised then he will still be here. I’m not sure about Dwyer but I hope he has signed up. The others I doubt will.
Cam Smith and Dwyer have both signed contracts, but not sure if it's with us or not.
There's no need for a player swap for Hastings, as he's OOC
Cam Smith I think needs and deserves more time, but there are parts of his game he needs to work on and in Merrin, Ward, Trout, Mellor, Walters, McConnell (maybe Mustapha) we have some real talent in the back row already for 2020. It's going to get very competitive for starting places.
You'd have to say that the following players would need to be moved on and replaced either by the younger players coming through, or with new signings:
Ablett, Albert, Briscoe, Briscoe, Cuthbertson, Donaldson, Ferres, Golding, Handley, JJB, Lolohea, Myler, Parcell, Peteru, Singleton in addition to Watkins. All these for different reasons, some due to ability, some due to age, some due to contract size (assumed), but over the next year or two they need moving out.
We can probably replace half of them with the kids, but that still leaves 7 or so signings over the next two years, all of which must be significantly better than the players they replace, and must bring leadership qualities that are missing right now.
Of our current squad who I'd definitely get rid of or at least try.
Cuthbertson (34 now not up to standard and taking up a NFT spot)
Ablett( 33 hasn't played at all this year and is close to retirement anyway we believe)
Ferres ( 33, hasn't had 4 good games for us never mind a good season the 4 seasons he's been at Leeds).
I'd also like Lolohea gone he's be a terrible signing for us but he still has 2 years on his contract and might be hard just to release him like we've done with Watkins.
I wouldn't mind trying to get Tom and Luke Briscoe out either if it was going to free up a significant amount of salary cap but I don't think it will and L. Briscoe is a good back up winger if we had a few injuries.
I'd let Myler go but I think if we use the cash we've got from releasing others to buy a good, quality organising half back to partner him and to help bring Mclelland through it would be better.
I'd only let Parcell go to free up a quota and NFT spot if we was gonna bring in a real quality overseas player.
I'd let Singleton go but wouldn't be a bad interchange/ cover prop
Crosby has next season to prove fitness and worth otherwise he can be moved on.
I'd release Golding if we're not gonna use him but again he is someone to good to have for cover and doesn't take up too much cap space.

I actually think Handley has been quite good this year, and is only improving. He's decent bringing the ball out, and usually lands on his front, and his cutting inside is quite unpredictable. I certainly think he's a lot better than either Briscoe at the moment.
You think it is unpredicatable? I think it is as predictable as tomorrow is Tuesday. He doesn't use his touchline at all, doesn't go for the corner, and is a million miles behind even the average winger of today on finishing.
I give you he makes some yards, although generally running across ways.
