Some of the comments on here over the last few pages have been ridiculous. We have good halves but poor distribution from 9, but Parcell is class and would be good for us despite his distribution being one of weakest parts of his game.
This isn’t football manager, you can’t just sign loads of players whenever you want. As I think Seth pointed out, as things stand we have Sinfield and Johnson capable of playing in the halves next year so priority wise 9 really isn’t in the conversation at the moment. We also need a new fullback unless somebody internally steps up next year. Add to that we probably need a new prop, possibly a back rower if Bentley leaves.
Maybe we should just try and fix our immediate concerns first up before we start looking at other issues. The convo started talking about Mbye (who loads of people commenting haven’t really seen play). He is an nrl utility player who has been knocking around at low end NRL teams for a number of years. I personally don’t see that as the type of NRL player we should be going after. Additionally, Ben Cross played SOO as well, worth remembering before we comment that somebody is a high quality player because they played SOO. By the way Mbye playing SOO in 2019 as qld picked hunt at 9 who wasn’t really able to do 80 mins back then, Cherry evans had an injury but started and Mbye was literally a utility on the bench to cover various positions.
Overall just a bit of thought and perspective would be welcome.
