You just seem to want to look at everything the club is doing in a negative way, what if shifting Parcell means we can get Hastings?

We have to pay Lunt who btw is in a fair whack at KR also its not negative its a BS deal where we end up with a worse older more injury prone player than we ger rid of.
If KR are that keen on Parcell they would wait till the end of the year you make oit like this is the only ever option so we should just applaud it as a decent deal?

At least if Parcell stayed he'd be a reasonable option at 9 Lunt offers zip.

I seriously don’t think you understand we need cap space and OS places to make this team better, parcell is I believe signed to us for next year so will be difficult to shift unless its a deal such as this.

You think we would be paying Lunt anything near what we are paying Parcell?

Why would KR wait till the end of the year? Well for starters they don’t know what league they will be playing in next year, they need signings immediately.

This deal would not be about us signing Lunt it would be about us getting rid of Parcell.

FWIW I actually rate Parcell and wouldn’t be looking to get rid, but I can see the logic in a deal such as this

The risk would be this year not next. FWIW I'd be a bit surprised if it happens this season due to the big change in a key position. If we were safer it might make more sense, but even then its more about getting Parcell off our books for next year.

If we do the deal, one thing I'd stipulate is that neither Lunt or Parcell could play when we next meet KR. Unless we win a few in the interim, that's a huge game we'll both be desperate to win. Looking at the list we'll be hard pushed to win more than one of the games before then (Wigan, Sts, Cats, Cas).

This is where there is an issue calling it a 'swap' - I don't claim to be ITK but we surely couldn't ever be paying equivalent wages to Lunt. Parcell was great in 2017 but has done little since. No-one's holding Lunt out as the great saviour but someone who can do a supporting job (on and off the field) for 6 - 18 months whilst allowing us to better recruit elsewhere. Yes he may be injury prone but this would/should be reflected in his wages, and as an individual in the dressing room I think he'll bring something that Parcell doesn't and which is missing from across the team

Particularly if Parcell has known for a year that the club wants him out. I can't imagine it would be that easy to motivate himself if that were the case.

I guess most of us won't know the true situation behind the scenes, but if the club wants him out (and clearly they have for some time), I'm supposing there is a reason for that.
That being the case, the sooner we can get it done the better, and all parties move on.

I fully understand it that doesnt make it any better.
Firstly we are strengthening a relegation rival whilst weakening ourselves & then paying wages to a 33yr old who hasnt completed a season in the last 3/4.
Parcell will be in demand whether it ne now or end of the year plus he isnt yhe only O/S Quota player we can get rid of there's Cuthbertson who is finished.
Wrt pay do you think Lunt will just accept a minor % of what he's on now so close to the end of his career?
If we were getting Aitkin or even a decent fwd then fair enough but to get loaded with another passenger no thanks.
Also we have plenty of " Leadership" sat in the treatment room we dont need another
