I hope this isn't the case - I don't recall seeing any improvement last year when he took over from McD.

I have no info whatso ever on the coach. It is just my own view only, and my own concern, based on what has happened so far and things said. So will keep to self, and hope wrong. But I certainly will not be renewing season ticket for next year until it is shown wrong.

Well mate you are often right about things, but hopefully not with this, we'll see.
I could see KS taking a punt on someone like Demetriou IF he can get the required due diligence in first, but from all the noises I'd still expect an English coach this time.
They had most of their success under an English coach and fingers burned more than once with Aussies - whether it's right or wrong to generalise, I don't image they'll want to risk going anywhere near a Furner 2 scenario.
I still think that puts Powell in the box seat, and Cas aren't travelling great this year so it's not impossible. It might just be the right timing for all parties, if he can't see Cas finding the cash to really strengthen the side to compete with the top teams. I don't think you can break the laws of physics with Rugby League - sides who don't use the marquee money wisely are going to struggle against those who do. Look at how transformational Barba was for Saints last year or Austin for Wire this.

He didn't say that, he was asked by Carney if he knew if Kallum was off to the NRL, Barrie went very quiet and responded "I'm trying not to break the circle of trust". He knew something was happening but at no point said yes and definitely didn't say GCT.

So if Watkins is going now then that surely must mean we're bringing someone in mid season otherwise why would we release him now... Carney believes its his last game.

At the end of the game Sky reporting it could be Watkins' last game for Leeds. He sounded a bit emotional when interviewed and refused to confirm or deny...

Player swap with Hastings at Salford? After today's showing from Myler and Sutcliffe this is just what we need (but wishful thinking from me?).

He’s going. His answer should just have been “no” if it wasnt true, but he waffled and finished with “the announcement will be next week”. Fair play and good luck to him. Just shame were sending him off after that shower tonight.
