Disgraceful for Gary not consult or discuss the situation first with Smith.
Its about time he retired and get somebody new in to replace him.

Players have a responsibility to behave professionally. How many of us could expect to be rewarded and not disciplined after releasing a video that personally criticises our boss / company?

Perhaps there were other options available to GH. I suspect Austin would have been warned after his earlier attempts to bring contract negotiations into the public sphere, and the latest discretion could have been seen as one strike too many for GH.

Mate, I’ve had nothing at all. I’ve met up a few times and everything has been quiet, nowhere to grab info and a lot of closed doors. I phoned him up at Lunch time to try and get anything and he said, there are lots of goings on and all is not well with the club at all, Rohan is begging for signings but nothing seems to coming to fruition. Seems Bentley is gone at seasons end aswell. My opinion has been for a long time that GH needs to retire, his decisions in recent years have been somewhat questionable. It also would surprise me if lost a few more. I like Austin, but he’s so inconsistent and no one should be allowed to talk about the club like that. With Myler out and people strengthening around us, it’s not going to be a great ending to the season is it? I hate being a Leeds fan sometimes, Football aswell. They just love to play with our hearts and minds!

What we need is a Mike Rush or Ian Blease to run the day to day operations and Gary to stay in the background.
Salford sign Hastings and Croft and who do we end up with, that says it all.

Hmmm, not sure Salford are a good example to use as a well run club.

I probably do think its time GH started to take back seat, problem is that takes planning people that high up in organisations don't just leave at a whim without a successor being put in place.

Financially no because they do not have a sugar daddy.
I was referring to the ability to attract the right players, which currently under the leadership we cannot.
Player recruitment has been better than ours considering we are supposedly an attractive proposition for players, which would not appear to be the case.

If we go back to playing Morgan Gannon at Stand Off when he’s fit again, then Rohan Smith can join Blake Austin through the exit door. Moving Austin on is the right thing to do, but let’s not shoot ourselves in the other foot at the same time.

They attract those players because they throw money at them and then have to go cap in hand to the supporters,

also Hastings was a big gamble, it paid off but could have gone the other way.
