It's a fair point.
I was watching the saints game last night and thinking, when was the last time they were facing relegation?
I know they haven't had the success we have had in recent years but they are always in the mix. They have gone through periods where the old guard retired/moved on and have seemed to hold their own.
Seems like a model that has eluded us. We seem to be a bit of a boom or bust club.

Hang on, I know things are poor at the moment but let’s not lose all sense of reality.
Sharky64’s post wasn’t a “fair point”. It was a rant.
Why hasn’t a statement of intent been released? A statement of intent with regard to what? Recruitment? Has any club ever released plans publicly as to who they are going to sign and who they are going to move on? No of course they haven’t. It’s utterly ridiculous to expect the club to make such an announcement.
As for sacking players or coaches. Well you only do that if you have better players coaches ready to take their place. Again, a ridiculous assertion to say we should immediately sack players.
As for the management, you may disagree with their decisions, you may think they’re not the right people for the job, but does anyone really question whether Hetherington and Sinfield are “bothered” about Leeds succeeding? Of course they are, it’s childish and simplistic to suggest otherwise.
As for Leeds being a boom and bust club, we haven’t been facing relegation since what 1996? I’d hardly describe that as boom and bust. What we are going through seems remarkably similar to what Wigan went through a few years back, 2005/6 ish when IIRC we beat them 70-0 and Saints beat them 75-0 in consecutive weeks and they were only 4 points off being relegated despite breaking the salary cap to stay up.
