I'll be very underwhelmed if Adam Clune is the halfback for next year. He hasn't played a first grade game this season.

I said some time ago I don't think anyone's going to be 'whelmed' let alone overwhelmed with our recruitment for next year. The best we can hope is that there are some bodies that get signed and that those gel.

Like I've said umpteen times before, just as an example, the Dolphins have four halfbacks. Katoa is their long term bet, so the other three (Milford, Nikorima and O'Sullivan) are basically playing for one spot, and the Dolphins are still looking for a marquee halfback themselves. Nikorima can play other positions but isn't first choice in any of them. I'd take any one of those in a heartbeat ahead of Adam Clune.

There's a difference between not first choice and not having played first grade for a year. A big difference.
