Wigan have a model of bringing through their own coaches. Saints have always been able to find the best from overseas willing to join SL. Smith is neither, he’s meh, nothingness.

Sorry to say that you're spot on Flex.
The rebuild is never ending.
All the excuses are wearing thin with Smith.
He had to get rid of the dead wood.
He's replaced the entire spine.
Salary cap restrictions.
Etc, etc, etc.....
The best coaches can get the best out of what they have.
This is his third season and we are currently no better than we were under Agar.

Despite the rejection of Hull I believe that should Smith get the push the next Leeds coach will be Paul Rowley. I think it's been on the cards since we signed Ackers and Croft. If Smith had started the year with the mildest of bangs it might of been different but unless he can muster a 2022 style run of wins fan pressure will force GH's hand. Despite the clubs increasinly tarnished status an ambitious English coach would still be a fool to turn the offer down. I would not be surprised if Rowley is at the club for 25 or even before.

I agree..no doubt Ackers and Croft had a word in his ear to let him know to hang on as the Leeds job could be available in a matter of weeks

He may not come, but it won't be because he "hates" Leeds and is from another county. He's a professional sportsman. Incidentally, you know that he "hates" Leeds how, exactly?

Load of rubbish. Rugby league isn’t lucrative enough that coaches can just be turning down big jobs like that, nor is rugby league on the level of say man United Liverpool in football where there is deep ingrained rivalry and hatred that can prevent moves like that.

I think if Leeds roll out the red carpet, he comes. If he snubs us it’ll just be the final nail in the coffin of the tarnished reputation and downfall of the club.

Come on, unlike you (it seems) Rowley is a grown up and a professional Rugby League coach. These sort of childish hang ups about other clubs or towns or counties simply aren't a factor.

This is professional sport Shabs he'll go where he thinks he can win stuff.Brian Noble has a dislike of Leeds,i asked him once would you have ever taken the Leeds job his answer was if the timing was right then yes of course.
