The only way Clune would have made sense would be to buy time for Sinfield to develop, or to play alongside someone else who can really make a difference.
The fact that the usually Leeds-friendly media are saying the club needs to go big to me signals that, as shown on this forum, the mood has changed. Times are tough, and people want excitement and entertainment from sport, not just plodding along with vague promises about how good we'll be in five years when all the kids develop. There's no sense of excitement or anticipation about the club, for me at least. I really hope there are some impressive signings to come, because right now I'm struggling to maintain interest.
