Eh?

Mark O'Meley was dropped for a little while because he didn't adapt quickly enough to the 2 ref system (one which we don't have I'm sure you will note) apparently but has since won praise.

Indeed Ricky Stuart went on record this month to say he would use Mark in SOO.

The reason no Aussie or Super League clubs captured him is that Hull have a lot of flexibility with their salary cap for 2010. Hull have far from finished with their signings for next season apparently, plus there are a lot of rumours about senior players leaving, we could be looking at a very different side next year.

Is it right he's been dropped from the Roosters team before the injury? I've honestly heard nothing about him since his Bulldogs days. When they had a bit of a monster pack!

I think he missed a few games at the start of the season from what I gather from the internet because of not adapting to the 2 ref rule, what that means exactly I don't know.

I think his lack of impact has a lot to do with the team he is playing in, I was reading an article that not only says Mark has gone to sleep but players like Mason, Paea and Fitzgibbon.

Calderwood was pretty poor at Wigan, but at your club he was top try scorer, and he has been one of our better players this year as well, not thats much of an accolade this year I admit, but far better than at Wigan IMO. Some times its a fresh start thats needed, and fingers crossed with us building a squad with many new faces in it next year, we can give him that.

Or it could blow up in our face. We have experience with that as well.

I hope he goes well for Hull. He's a risk but at his best better than any SL prop. The more quality Aussies we get the better. Fitzgibbon may well be a Barnhill Mk2 though - he's a grafter who's getting on a bit.

It means he was too slow and was struggling with the increased pace of the game that having 2refs has brought about.

Some on the Hull board are saying it's just an arthroscopy now, I don't know where they got it from. As the guy on SKY before the match (think he works for Hull?) seemed to suggesting it was a big one. I'm sure he said something about it being a good thing as he'll have a big lay off..

thats because it is its an exploratory op

He is an international with appearances well into double figures, Ricky Stuart would want him in his SOO side, he 28, the perfect age for a forward.... come on lad.

And I hate to point out the obvious, by SL is far far slower than the NRL anyway.

Hmmm, multiple Super League clubs (including Leeds by all accounts) would seem to disagree with your expert anyalsis sir.
