Incidentally, while I very rarely leave games early (when I attend them) I don't think I want to be your kind of supporter. You seem a bit too evangelical about it all for my taste. I tend to think that people can do what they like provided it doesn't hurt anyone else.

Not true supporters then are they if they leave when the team is losing. Bet that stand wouldn't have emptied as fast if Leeds were winning.

Perhaps not. I will leave their judgement in the hands of Loz and/or St Peter, and the trolling in the hands of you though.

If the matches where a free event I could see reason to clap them off. But we pay for their wages (or attract their wages via sponsorship) which is much more than a clap at the end of 80mins.

On the other hand if you left a free grassroots game early it would be disrespectful not to clap them at the end of 80mins.

Pro rugby appreciation = money

Grassroots rugby appreciation = clap

at the end of the day I asked a simple question "why do people do it?"

I was just intriugued, Ill be honest I once left a pre season game after 60mins. Now a days Im usually one of the last people out of the stand
