I knew someone would completely miss the point and you didn't disappoint.
It's not a 'harking' back trying to say "oh we'll be ok on the day" like we've done before. It was to highlight how placing too much emphasis on the game before a big cup/playoff game is as history tells us (in more sports than just RL, with football being a big one also) can be often inaccurate and not key to how things will go.
I'm not saying Leeds will turn up and do the business on Saturday, we may well even get beat quite comfortably (do you and some of the others feel better now for hearing that?). However, I seriously doubt that if we do lose on Saturday it's because we didn't pick up a 'confidence' boosting win over Bradford.
Would it make some more comfortable if I also use the comparison of Leeds playing very well at Wigan on the last league game on 2013 but then struggling in the playoffs? Or Warrington getting 60+ points put past them by London the week before the CC Final but still beating Leeds at Wembley?
Happier now pessimists???
