To me he speaks like someone who thinks a lot but cannot actually practically use those thoughts. How does the saying go "those that can do those that can't teach" He reminds of a college lecturer who couldn't make it in the real work world.

Being a great communicator is so important. Sometimes I think some of what JJB says is interesting, and that’s because he
articulates things in a way I’ve not heard before, the words themselves I’ve heard, but the collocations and patterns are different. I’m not sure I could consume that all the time though, and sometimes it’s better just to express something in the most concise and simple way, without being abrupt or rude.

I don't think he does articulate in any different way especially, he just abuses metaphors and should apply the less is more principle with the team or in the media.

No. He is special . I’ve met some very bright and eloquent people over the years………..and he would rank bottom of the pile…!

Recent press conference. He is entertaining. He’s gone from criticising Broadbent to saying his stats were ‘out of this world’ vs Toulouse.

He’s asking for ‘subconscious intuition’ for the next match.

When asked who’ll be paying centre
In summary ‘some hybrid players, some second rowers, some young kids’
So about 6 centres then. And not an actual centre by the sound of it!

I love listening to JJB. Yeah, sometimes it's too much but at a time when it seems like the characters and personalities are sucked out of professional sport - there he is doing his thing. The BBC seem to love him and his passion. For the players, having someone so passionate must be a welcome change to the Agar monotone
