I think it comes from the winger believing that their centre hasn't slid over enough and won't make the tackle, leaving the gap on their (winger's) outside instead.

I'm with you however, just stay on their man.

Not sure how interested you guys are but we are without Turner and Eden on our left edge which is usually our "Go to" side of the field. Could help you guys.

Don`t worry we have Briscoe on our right edge and possibly Simpson who is only 17 at centre.
