However, IF Hardaker did say it then why would you have a problem with him being banned? Would it be because of how the RFL have gone about it or simply the fact he has been banned for using that language?
If hardaker gets banned I will never attend an RL game ever again, this whole thing stinks. The game deserves to die after the RFL handling of this and the vile attitude of so called fans.
A genuine question for you Leeds fans - if Hardaker is found guilty of saying "fu**ing puff," whether that be by his own admission, a lip reader or evidence submitted by Silverwood and/or Saints players, then would anyone have any complaints with a ban?
People seem to be focussing more on the process that the RFL have taken as opposed to what Hardaker is being accused of doing.
The RFL haven't covered themselves in glory with the way they have acted here but it's a means to an end in a way. If Hardaker is guilty of saying "fu**ing puff" then he deserves to be banned, simple as that.
Really??? Call someone a c*nt, fanny, prick, dick, knob, bast*rd, tw*t, ars*hole, sh*thead, or cock and not even the merest hint of being mentioned in the ref's report but call someone a puff and the world is up in arms.
What is this sport coming to?
I grew up with the ethos "stick and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me", nowadays it's "stick and stones may break my bones but words will get me in a lot deeper sh*t".
In all of this I do feel a bit sorry for Hardaker I must admit. He's a fantastic player, the best full back in England and pushing Tomkins very close too.
I don't believe for one minute he is a homophobe, he has simply had one or two "brain-farts" that may end up landing him in hot water. It's unfortunate and the whole situation is looking quite messy at the moment.
Some brain farts start wars, these may cost the game ££££ in sponsorship

Been posted before on this thread, homophobia is now on a par with racism.
But the problem is now, will he be banned because he genuinely did say it, or because Hardaker being guilty is the best result for the RFL.
For me, a guilty verdict is already comprised so I'd have mixed feelings towards it. Nothing to do with condoning it, more because I now think the investigation is only interested in getting one certain result so I still wouldn't be certain he actually said it.

To be fair you have a point, to an extent.
What about Suarez in the World cup. Was it a bite, well the answer is, its the 3rd time hes done it.
I'd say the RFL know why ZH was booted from the World Cup squad, was it just a "booze up" with Hock?

Condone that too?
Where have I said I condone homophobia?
Putting word in my mouth here, this is how you get people into trouble, a bit of a habit of yours isn't it, especially with your history.
I know quite a few gay men, a couple I have the fortune of calling my friends, I have asked them if they or anyone they know would be offended if they were called a puff. None of them said "yes" - in fact one of them said "not at all... because I am a puff".

... oh and while I think on, Jonathan Ross' house band were called Four Puffs and a piano. Do you think ITV would air a show with the house band being called Four N*ggers and a piano?
Gay men really don't mind being called puffs, well the ones I know don't at least.
