Carr's a good young coach who's done well everywhere he's been so far in his career. He had the Eels NSW cup team in 2nd and hitting top form when that comp was cancelled after 2/3rds of there season this year.

He's held in high regard over there. Sometimes astutes better than high profile. The rumours rubbished for now but i could see Carr being of interest when the time comes for a change.

It's not the first time Shaw has almost instantly dismissed a Davidson story as not true either.

I don’t think we need a new coach in order to be successful. It would be a nice to have if we can find someone with real talent.

I’m looking forward to next season but as a squad we are not physical enough currently. The existing players are going to have to work hard in pre-season, and ideally we have one or two more high quality senior players incoming too.

I think our pack is pretty physical already and with the addition of Bentley this adds to it. Another big prop would give us possibly the most physical pack in SL. Our backs are perhaps not so physical but Sezer is a tough And will add some back bone to the spine.
I am not sure how you think we are not so physical. I do believe with better conditioning we could be fitter and faster and that would make a difference.

I’m just looking at how Saints rolled us twice in a few weeks, and we struggled with the size of Catalans too.

It’s OK looking good against lesser sides but our ambitions are higher now.

Whether we end up with a winger or a prop next, they need to be physically intimidating.

I think Catalan and saints both have great packs, but they've also probably been the least injury ravaged teams this year.

Prior looked knackered by the end of the season and has played way too many games for way too many minutes. Mik clearly isn't fit and Zane needs to string some games together to get some form.

Part of success next year will be rotating the pack well. This has to include getting in a new big body to carry the load!

I think us and wigan played lots if games in short periods too. no suprise the top 2 somehow avoided a lot of that
