This is what nrl zero tackle has half backs out of contract for next year, personally don't see any top class half back from NRL coming over due to the high wage demand even someone like Sezer would command a fee to Canberra and then won't come over to play on peanuts, and we can't offer marquee money due to Hurrell and Merrin being out marquees ( unless the marquee rule increases to 3 next year).

Hastings + Maloney were the best we could have got. But for understandable reasons - we didn't get either.

Unless the club have been scouting an unknown, or fairly unknown, NRL player and have plans to offload one of our current overseas players then the only other option would be to actually pay a fee for a current SL player. Who's good enough? Who'd move here?

If it was my choice I'd be talking to Jake Connor. Seems unsettled at Ull. I'd be in his ear saying we want him and he will be our long term 6 - a position he wants to play.

Jake Connor whilst a good player will not solve our controlling halfback or lack of situation.

That NRL list is full of rubbish players plus a few kids who may or may not make it. I'd rather back McClelland than any if them.

I’ve seen this in multiple places and many comments that people seem to think David Fifita is Leeds bound? Any truth in this? I personally can’t see it unless Wakey are in serious trouble and one of our Quota players leave?
