Yeah I thought the same and having watched it think there is definitely something in it.. remember when Matt Shaw earlier this season broke a rumour of us bringing Tyrone Roberts back to SL….when he was asked about that in a pre-match presser he completely refuted it and made it clear that we were not looking at Roberts…..but no such denial about Frawley which is a worry for me.

I’m torn on this one, if we land Frawley. Part of me thinks it’s a backwards step from what we started 2023 with. But I’m not sure we can judge until all the pieces are in place: maybe we are in for a worldy 7 to complement him…. One thing’s for sure we won’t be stopping at just two new signings for next season.

Frawley is truly diabolical. Make no mistake about it.

If we sign him we have signed a player much much worst than Aidan Sezer. It would be a gigantic step back.

Better than Lam in Australia. In the feeder teams league. Can't compare them now because Lam is playing in poor league quality wise.
Everyone is going back to Frawleys Hudds days which I understand but all decent players have bad seasons. Croft was diabolical at Brisbane for example. I just think people are jumping to conclusions because of his season at hudds. There is no way anybody above Frawleys level at halfback in Australia would come to SL (apart from Catalans maybe)

All HBs are playing in a poor league therefore. But Lam is head & shoulders above Sezer & Austin, who logically should be ripping it up in SL.

I have no recollection of Frawley at Hudds and i don't watch much NRL, but surely if Frawley was as bad as people are making out he wouldn't get a gig in the NRL?

I don't watch loads of NRL but when I've seen him he has been notable for defensive lapses and not offering much with the ball. He does only have 20 appearances in the last 4 seasons so he is very much back up and has been used as interchange hooker too. Tyrone may would have been a good call and very attainable, but that ship sailed. I still query how much we had any halves identified when no clear call could be made on Austin and Sezer. After 15-20 games this year I feel a real indication of purpose and intent would have seen us being clear they weren't being offered contract extensions and that all focus in that area was getting the best combination for next year while supporting BA and AS to have a last season to remember.

There are stacks of good players in QLD/NSW cup sides we should be looking at.

French, Field, Sironen, Paasi, Hopoate, Mbye, Cust, Hoy, Clifford were all reserve grade

We should be going all in on Croft. It just seems rudderless at the moment
