Keeping Bodene is a total waste of an overseas quota place. The guy is not top 5 team ability any more, if he ever was. A really poor decision to keep him.Would rather try another young prop from the Championship.

You do realise he has a contract don’t you? Leeds cannot simply “get rid”

I’m scratching my head a bit about why we let Tyler Dupree go to be honest. Maybe something off-field I don’t know but he’s been tearing it up in the Championship since he left us!

He may have a contract, doesn't mean it can't be ended if an agreement can be reached. The decision to give him more than one year was a very poor one for such an average player.

Don't disagree with that, and it's been covered on here many times already so not getting into it again. However, it was maybe the only way to bring him in, we needed him at the time and tbh he's done ok. It's very difficult to get every single piece of recruitment 100% correct but i think we've done pretty well of late.

Leeds can't just go around cancelling players contracts, the guy has a family and it's his living, we have a reputation of looking after players which is important to protect and continue to do do.

Moreover whilst it would free up a quote place it wouldn't free up salary cap space so there probably isn't much benefit in doing it - unless the club could find someone else to take over his contract.

Good player Tyler, its turned out to be the right thing to let him go and earn his stripes. He's got a year contract with Widnes for next season and i would hope we'r keeping a close eye on him with a view to bringing him back for the season after that, lads his size with his dynamism are pretty hard to find.

If he has another progressive year a Widnes I imagine there would be other clubs than Leeds looking at him TBH.

Do you fancy Spear, Tom N-W or any of the other academy lads to break into first grade?

He'l have plenty of options if he has another good year of progression, but no reason we wouldnt be in with a good shout if we want him back.

Spear looks an awkward, raw boned lad, had a solid year for his first season at academy level, too early to say with him for me regards first team, do like him though.

Watten, Hird and Wallace are all good players that need a bit of luck with natural physical development, could all do with a bit of a growth spurt for me.
