In 2015 & 2017 we only had 5 main first team props in the squad & Cuthbertson was being used as sort of Ball playing Prop/13 if we compare the squads.

Prior = Peacock ( our enforcer leading from the front he's a close too JP as we'll probably get)

Tetevano = Leuluai ( Can provide that impact and whack either from the start or bench)

Oledzki= Garbutt ( Our big meter maker and Oledzki is fitter than Garbutt and can play longer minutes)

Holroyd= Singleton ( Holroyd is probably gonna be better than Singleton & is still young and plenty of time too develop he's also bigger than Singleton was/is).

Thompson= Cuthbertson ( That Middle player who can play
Prop/13 Cuthbertson was more flashier and had more flair with ball playing/ offloading than Thompson but Thompson does the dirty work Cuthbertson didn't.

We could probably do with another prop for 2022 especially with our luck with injuries last couple of years but some of our most successful teams we haven't had a shed load of props so if we went with what we have and get some luck with injuries we could be a force again next year.

I agree with a lot of this however the rules have changed since then and the 6 again rule has changed the look of the forwards needed. Fortunately the scrum is to return soon

Id say that’s a pretty clear indication there’s something in it.

I actually think we’ll be stronger with Sezer and Austin as starting halves anyway i just hope we’ve got some cash for him!

Ive never rated Sneyd at all, brilliant kicker, but that’s it.

All in all I don’t think we can rate Gales return as a huge success, blighted by controversy and injury!

This would leave us really exposed to injury in the halves in what is a really big year for the club. I hope we don't let it happen.

I think we need to remember players are human beings and not just resources.

From Gale’s point of view he’s had the shame of the captaincy being stripped from him, compounded by Leeds signing other senior players in his position.

How would you feel?

Not saying he is in the right or the wrong. If Hull were prepared to offer him say a 2 year deal and a chance for a fresh start - I could see it.

Moat of us on here are ruling an Austin/Sezer first choice half back partnership next year - Gale is an ego and might want to remain top dog.

If I were him I’d have little interest in being Leeds back-up 7 next season.

You also don’t know if there’s ongoing tension between Gale and other players and/or Agar - he’s a loud character.

I think Walker being back eases that a little as we have Mylee as a back up half - not ideal but still better than last season

Just read the article, looks like this is going to happen. This has more significance in the salary cap it would make available for us than the loss of the player IMO.

Puts us back in the market for a UK prop?

We really need Sezer in particular to stay fit next season, lots of what we do will hinge on him. Massive kicking threat to that RHS with Fusitu'a for one.
