How do you know he'll be paired with Myler? Is this from your source, or is it just what you think?

| As I've said previously, if our starting HBs next year are Myler and Frawley then someone needs sacking.
Just how low have our ambitions actually sunk to?

You expect GH to sack himself?
Lets not write a player off before he’s pulled on a jersey. I hope he doesn’t read twitter cos he won’t feel welcome if he does

Agreed. We've lauded big name players as signings that'll win us trophies, rip the league up etc. yet they've not delivered. Frawley might not be the biggest name in the NRL but Ricky Stuart is starting him at 6 for the Raiders. Give the bloke a chance.

Just what I think mate, decisions are terrible and I just don’t understand us at all, so nothing surprises me.

| If frawley is half recruit number one is that a sign that the trajectory of quality will go up for the next one or down/a combination of miller/hooley, Myler/Miller/Frawley. I'm all for give a player a chance before judging but at 28 there's not much previous to add optimism unfortunately. He's not played many first grade games in the last 3 years for a reason and even then it's been filling in not just in the halves but hooker and loose. Ah thats it he's come in as hooker!

No SL club is signing a first choice halfback from the NRL, Theyre going the other way if anything (clifford, Sezer)

If it doesn't go up fans would be right to ask questions. However, I'm pretty sure we have at least two marquee slots to fill. If the next two announcements were say Croft and Burgess I'm sure the majority of people might squeeze out a bit of positivity. Only time will tell, but at least we are finally getting some business done.

Oh no I wouldn't suggest they would, though catalan have made some impressive additions in the halves in recent years and Tyrone may is a great capture for kr, anyone know if we sounded him out or was that all tied up while we were still umming and ahing about Austin and sezer? Kr with schneider too this year.

| It's actually probably a higher quality first grade nrl half around 32 and looking for a last gig for a couple of years in an easier comp that we need to bridge the gap with the younger halves coming through.

| I’ve heard of him and seen his reviews, seems like an up and coming player who has a lot of attributes we need (pace, good passing, good kicking) and was also available. Perhaps he’s the other half we will sign?
Frawley is a massive miss though.

Catalans will always be more attractive to Austrian players IMO due to the lifestyle/location
Schneider is available next year isnt he?

| Quote christopher="christopher"I do get that, but when was the last time we had as big a clear out of players, early 2000? yes that should have happened before now but at least its happening now, we also have some decent young players coming through.
It's really frustrating for us all, but personally I do think the current clear out and patience with the younger players will pay in the end.
The biggest issue we have doing this now is that overseas recruitment is really important but also because of the Ads salary cap more difficult than its ever been. There's a lot of talk from Smith about players being a good fit for the club, hopefully that means players that want to be here to help the cause not ones that will jump ship at the back end of the season A la Austin'"
We’ve been revolving players relentlessly since 2015. Most of the 2017 team had gone by 2020 c cup team and again barely anyone was left last season and again this year. We have never stopped and now for next season we have a new FB at least one new half, I expect Myler at 7 and possibly a new hooker . So again another huge change in the spine.
I along with a few others have no confidence left in what is happening.

But this time we have a better crop of youth coming through, that wasn’t the case from 2017 onwards. The youth set uo was neglected for a fair few years.
We’ve also had some awful decisions in retention and recruitment in those years.
What would you like to see happen?

It's here from the coach I have been called out for making stuff up I never have I just quote what is public knowledge and been quoted FWIW I think the halves have a combined age of 62 not very ambitious for obvious reasons.

| It looks like Myler and Frawley in the halves - their pace will terrify opponents . I feel we are picking up the dregs with Frawley , as there is a worrying parallel with Seizer , who also did nothing at the Giants . I know it would be a gamble but would have gone with Volkman - he can only get better with experience and if we get 2 years from him , would be a good deal.
Now need to see who replaces Nene and hopefully Fusi - never a dull moment on here.

I was responding to your point that this is the first clear out in 20 years, it’s not . The club has got it wrong now for a long time.
I agree the youth set up was poor for quite a time but I don’t think we’ve many that can step up
To SL next year, in fact I don’t think we have any other than Sinfield as a bit part player.
I’d like to see a half back pairing with more flair than a pantomime horse which is Frawley and Myler . Not sure who will make the better , it’s looks a close call.

That does not say he will be first choice half as you stated.
Just like he never said Handley was his long term full back as you stated.
