It was a good article. One thing he has to take responsibility for is the shambles the club had become outside the first team. He alludes to issues and having to replace all the backroom staff. Not all of that was down to the coach for sure.

Agree on Newman. I wouldn't be surprised if his attitude is a problem within the club as well as on the field. GH didn't sound like he's got a huge amount of time for him.

Newman could be a ticking time-bomb for the club next season if not handled carefully re: contracts. The recent criticism of Newman from Wane probably helps the club's agenda though.

We're in a strong negotiating position with Harry. He hasn't been able to get on the field with any consistency and as a result the realisation of his potential has only come in flashes. He's also not done himself any favours by making himself a bit of a target and laughing stock within the wider game. He just needs to get his head down, stay fit and perform. If he does that his future at the club, or away from it, will look after itself.

Might be wrong but don't think the club's insurance will cover injuries unless caused by the club's negligence. Would be surprised if the club has private medical insurance for the players. Would be cheaper just to pay for the operations.
They are still liable for his wages though if injured but suspect not turning up for work is probably a sackable offence (although player registration makes it more complicated). I don't think they should be allowing him to play unless there is something that we don't know about.

He's AWOL so assume we are not paying him as he's in breach of contract. If we are paying him we are even softer touch than everyone already thinks we are
