Agree with this: we need to stop signing projects and cast offs if we’re going to leapfrog some clubs up that table. Good player in his day but think injuries take their toll now.

I’d expect Tchamambe to be back up winger next season and personally would be happy with that. He looks the business in the academy games and deserves a chance, as well as Edgell, Lumb, Smith, Simpson and Roberts.

Mcgilvery would be way too big a wage for a back up, Kershaw has looked good a number of times for Wakefield so could be a good option and to be honest, Innes Senior. But I would also think that Lachlan Walmsley would be a good option too.

I wouldn’t be against signing someone for a year or two but honestly we have a few lads in there which are good prospects. Frater, Webster, Turner all decent in particular. Tchambe is very tall and can finish but he needs to fill out a fair bit yet.

We have a couple of decent centres too.

Then again I convinced myself Broadbent, Edwards and Mustapha had good chances.

Anyone any more thoughts on Kayal Iro, he was close to signing for Cas but nothing announced?

Agree on Tchamambe. Kershaw is a good solid worker especially in yardage but I don’t know if I’d play him over some of the other young players mentioned.

Walmsleys try scoring record is really good, but Ritson has a similar history and hasn’t set the world on fire at saints. Walmsley would be quota too right?
