My 5am weather call resulted in a cancellation of all events today and a walk-to-work morning, I'm the only one in

Tiny bit of snow down here in the West Mids. We're supposed to get more overnight. I hope so as I'm due for a dull meeting in Redditch tomorrow. *crosses fingers*

Snowed over 24hrs here now, still pretty heavy and a good covering on the ground: Southstanders Lincoln Reporter.

Enough snow for me to stay home and work today



Reckon even Tad will wrangle a day off work today, which admittedly is rare for him

Anybody clicked the links on the main bbc webpage? a couple of piccies of snow "darn sarf" and compared to "oop narf" its pretty shamefull. a few centimeters and they have suspended nearly all public transport.

There was a fair smattering about last night as I was driving between Bolton, Oldham and Horwich. The motorways were clear but I had visions of getting stuck in the middle of the crossroads in Shaw like I did the last time it snowed! Tad embarrased but hey, you cant get many people to push an artic can you!!

Not sure where I am bound for tonight but I will make sure I have plenty of hot water for drinks along the way!

Incidently, it was minus four and a half degrees for most of the night - god bless the overnight cab heaters!!

Whilst on the subject of snow, cant forget the Friday night game against Cas in 2006 when we set off from Chorley having checked with the club before setting off that the game was definately on, only to get to St Michaels Lane to hear on Radio Leeds that the game was called off!

Hopefully it wont happen again this Friday - as the Sky cameras are at Headingley.......

I just rang my mate to see if he got a sldege and wanted a snowball fight. I woke him up and his reply was "FECK OFF YOU CHILDISH TW&T"
