What made Wembley even worse was that rather than wearing their full away kit like they did at the Halliwell Jones earlier in the year (yellow, white, yellow), which clashed but was just about different enough, the RFL told them to wear different shorts and socks, leading to Warrington (blue, yellow, yellow) versus Leeds (yellow, blue, blue), which was disastrous (but not as disastrous as the result...) Why the RFL didn’t make Warrington wear their away kit, or why Leeds didn’t release a one off white shirt like they did in 2015 (which would have sold like hot cakes) still baffles me.
Probably also explains why Leeds wore their hideous grey and pink number two years later even though their home didn’t really clash.
Anyway, I’m aware of how obsessive I’m sounding now so all I’ll say is hopefully there will be no kit issues!
