Obviously Konnie had defensive issues, but going from him to Briscoe is a big downgrade in strike power.

Having now watched the Hull derby , we clearly made the correct decision to get rid of Gale , as he was absolutely garbage ( as was Reynolds ) , but the question is can his replacement do the business for us - I really don`t know .

Wether our centres have the same frailties is irrelevant other than the fact our team isn’t good enough yo compensate like the saints team.

No fair enough Chris. Completely agree he could be so frustrating, but he was doing the work of 2-3 players most of the time. He didn’t hide, and he played injured a lot to help out. I just thought the criticism he took was not proportional to the criticism of some others around him. Others were also saying Broadbent was ready to step in, so no gear shakes. We are now seeing how is way off the Mark. Even expecting Newman to take up the slack with his injury record, not just this season either……

Come on Marty - Lui was finished at this level and McLelland was clear not of the correct standard - is he a starter at Cas? so it could be argued we gained a half.
