Beckford just doesn't show up in the play offs. I really wanted him to stick that pen in tonight, for his confidence more than anything, not that he needs much but I just thought if he scores this he'll grab another and we'll be off to Wemblee. It wasn't to be. It's going to be a long off-season and I just hope we keep hold of our key players (Snoddy, Delphy, Becky etc.) and try to sign Sodje permenantly becuase he's been brilliant.

That's the danger now, we lost our best players after losing in the play off semi finals last year, and are still recovering (well, getting worse and the pre season is only a week long).

Overall we didn't create enough chances and we were just lumping the long ball up too much and it was playing into Millwall's hands because there defenders were winning everything in the air, we were limited to long range shots (although Johnson's was very close to the bottom corner). Beckford didn't produce anything like we come to expect from him over the 2 legs and the better team went through.
Hopefully Grayson gets shut of a few in the summer and sign some better players and hopefully we go up automatic.

Have to say that's what I've thought of him for a while. Perhaps the pressure and expectation on him just gets to him too much. But he has scored some stock of goals this season for us.

The difference being were a massive club. Players will always want to play for Leeds United. Maybe we will lose our key men from this season and the last but we can easily bring in players to replace them who are of similar quality. I suppose it all depends on how much Bates will give Larry if selling our key men was the case.
