I find it really odd that those saying what a star player McLelland's going to be and yet when speaking about Golding the response is he only looks good in the championship the very same league McLelland is playing.
Now don't get me wrong I'm sure with the right coaching Walker and McLelland will come good.
But i do think that the season gone Golding has deserved a place in a pretty poor Leeds team.

It’s not odd at all, McLelland is 20 and hasn’t really played SL so people are looking at his potential, Golden has plenty of SL games under his belt and has lost his place to a better player.

You are missing my point Christopher.
Whilst Walker might be deemed a better player than Golding I still think Golding deserved a place in the squad.
When you look at the likes of Sutcliffe, Lolohea when he was with us, Myler and to some extent Briscoe.
Golding for me was MILES better
But we move on as Golding looks like he is moving away from Leeds and are faith will be with Walker going forward.
Just to answer Charlie Sheen it was Carney on Sky that mentioned Ryan Carr would likely take up an assistant`s post in Australia.
He might have got that wrong but it was mentioned at the same time as Golding being linked with Huddersfield.

Wasn't the issue that Golding would have been on a higher wage due to number of appearances if he had played more last season? that's what I read anyway.

Golding is a good player and a great lad but sometimes it just doesn't work out for players

Ashton doesn't quite have the size or the outright pace to have enough effect going forward, but he is a cracking defensive FB.

He's not good enough to get past Walker, but too good to keep in reserves for ever, and here we are.

There are a couple of very good prospects coming through the academy behind him too who will be putting pressure on Walker in the next 2-3 years.
