On an observational note I do think RS's plan is to go for a solid team of "no-namers" by that I mean no stars being paid much more than there team mates, he clearly believes in "team not I", reckon he wants a fundamentally strong squad of reliable Pro's who turn up week in week out, never miss training, never cry when not selected and who bust a gut for the cause,

I also think he wants the best set of "back up players" the guys who come in for the starters when injured or suspended, holisticly giving The Rhinos the best chance of making the play offs but pehaps rarely forming a championship winning side.

After this year a winning record and play offs would be a stepping stone.

Well that's not going to plan then, is it? None of those describe the Leeds squad at the moment.

Workhorses like Smith, O'Connor, Donaldson, Bentley, Myler, Martin, Handley, seem much more his thing.
solid reliable, dependable without star capabilities.

We should have kept Sutcliffe! Wow that rich when half of posters were calling for him to go for god knows how long! The long list of his faults were continuously pointed out by a long list of contributors to this site. I expect there will soon be suggestions a certain number 9 who joined Hull this season was also pushed out.

I see the season of regurgitated Rubbish has started again - two articles this morning on Serious about RL by a mr Cam Pattison that tell us nothing that we did not know 3/4 weeks ago. If these so called journalists were rugby players hey would be lower league amateurs not super league stars. I’d rather read nothing than this c… which almost make 90% of Mr Shaws believable and accurate.

I could have explained it better. I’m not saying Sutcliffe was great just that he would have made more of an impact with Zak in particular than what we brought in.
My point is we are revolving players and in the round what we are recruiting is worse than what we had.i think Smith pushed all these around to get me nene and it’s backfired.

Paul Momorovski apparently Leeds bound. Centre from the roosters. Won the GF with Penrith a couple of years ago but has been dropped by roosters this year and not used.

This would be a quality signing! Thought he was injured rather than dropped? What's the source?
