Probably will. The difference between when fees are payable or not are really down to if the club that currently has the player is actively looking to sell or get the players salary off the cap.

In Wigan’s case I doubt they would be looking to sell Davies and wouldn’t need to get him off the cap, whereas with Singleton we are actively looking to move him on.

Were we though first I read about it was when Toronto showed interest a couple of weeks ago.

Think Sinfield has been trying to shift Singleton since he got back to be honest.

Maybe so but it just peeves me that we always seem to pay a fee yet let ours go for nowt.Wigan have 5 wingers which is way over loaded but we'll still pay probably a fair chuck for Davies if we decide to sign him.Have we ever signed a player while under contract from another SL club for free?

Probably not recently because it’s generally a different situation. We’re actively trying to move players on to free up cap space so we’re not going to quibble over a few that most clubs can’t really afford. Usually when we’ve been signing players it’s not that their club wants to lose them.

What it does show is that the club has been mismanaged for quite a few years.

Our Recruitment for 2020 is shambloic at the minute, clubs are going hard at it and where are we? We desperately need another big forward like Ava so we don’t rely on him. We need another winger with good defence as Newman isn’t the biggest centre. The 9 situation is a joke to be honest as has been for years. Fair enough good news Merrin is staying but that’s not to say he won’t go next year! Our vision with Prior is awful, he does not dear marquee money, he’s old and just not good enough. We should be chasing big names like Warrington and Tetevano? Not has beens? It’s obvious no big name is coming now a Merrin is staying, so mid to bottom table here we come.
