Got to love the ambition at Leigh.
Positive vibes all around the club.
Tbf you've got to admire the ambition at Wire - it just hasn't worked out.

The stench from Leeds is one of arrogance.
Living in the past.
We think players are queueing up to come here because of our history.
Talking to fans from other clubs we are becoming more of an embarrassment and less relevant.

How long until the " it's not our fault last minute didn't work but it puts us in a great position for mid season signings to add yo our new look rhinos"

The season has just ended.

There is a lot to develop over the off season. Chill out. Jesus christ. The way some of you carry out you'd think the transfer window closes at noon today.

Exactly this! Some of the posters on here are pathetic. The negativity and arrogance isn’t the club, it is the fans. We should be signing this player, we should be spending this. Maybe players don’t want to come here? Maybe they see fans who moan and scream when players have poor form and see a club with general discontent around it, flowing from fans.

Maybe players want exit clauses which we aren’t prepared to give. Maybe players are settled in a particular area and have a young family and don’t want to move. This is not football manager, we don’t get to just pick who we want and sign them. However, so much easier to say well we should be ashamed he hasn’t come to us and picked somewhere else over us. If we were in for him and made a good offer and he picked another club, why would we be ashamed. I for one wouldn’t want a player to come here unless they really wanted to come here. We have done the sign big names, pay big money game and it didn’t work at all did it.

Supporting a club is about ups and downs, you don’t leave early, you don’t stop attending games. Really some of it on here is an embarrassment and why I imagine a lot of posters or readers don’t bother getting that involved.

Exactly this.

We made statement signings with Merrin, Hurrelll, Tetevano and none worked out really. Spending £200k on one player a year doesn’t guarantee anything and they can still break a leg or snap a knee in round 1.

Don’t get me wrong I’d love to see Croft at Leeds or someone of similar ability. Haven’t completely given up hope yet.

I do think his value has a ceiling even to us though, he’s not the Messiah. There’s also a c100k transfer fee involved on top of his wage demands for a player who might want a clause to get back to NRL club too.

Couldn’t agree more mate.

We are allowed to criticise some decisions the club makes (as I have done myself; the transition from Goldens was a monumental balls up). But this forum is like a load of old codgers poking everything with sticks sometimes.
