Yeah but they were completely unproven at that point , and at the time was the right call .
While we’re at it we are massively overpaying Merrin and Hurrrell, which is bad for squad morale.....

Garbett was good no doubt but sadly his knees are knackered so we definitely got the best out of him in between long periods injured. Mulhearn has had one good season but where was he last year when KR needed him. Think we need to raise the bar a little.. expect a couple of good signings soon

Personally I don’t think we should use the marquee rule, as you can’t get overseas players who are worth it these days. It kinda also go’s against how we achieved our success . I’d have been looking to allow Merrin and Hurrell to get deals elsewhere. Sadly don’t think anyone else would match Merrin’s wage with us. I’d have used the money to try and get Reece Lynn from Wakey, and Leeming from Hudds.

Garbutt ran for more metres v us than our whole front combined!

On a plus note look how much Warrington have blown on players n still not won super League and now look at how much they've thrown at widdop and based on his GB performances he's clearly not worth the money.

I think Merrin has been good for Leeds at least he's brought some stability n we will do well to hang on to him.
